The board of trustees is committed to continuing the mission of the WPA and is actively seeking some passionate community leaders who will take the association on a new path while also filling the needs of the immediate Washington Park neighborhood and the mission of the WPA. We know the work can be easier with a dedicated board working together for a better park. The next WPA Board election will be held in December 2022.

The WPA hosts or co-host several larger forums, which focus on various topics that matter to Heights or Hudson County Residents. These include but are not limited too: Supporting the Riverview Arts District, Heights and Union City development topics, sustainability, candidate forums for elected offices, parking solutions, safety, transportation, and other areas of community concern.
