The WPA Is On The Search For New Leadership!
Our founders are stepping down to allow others to create a new vision for the association or continue on the path they forged for the past 11 years. President Mory Thomas and Secretary Nick Caballero have a lot to be proud of through their work at the WPA and are ready to pursue new adventures. As sad as we are to learn of this news, we are happy for the work they have done as volunteer community and park stewards. The Heights and Union City are better off for it! That said, the board of trustees is committed to continuing the mission of the WPA and is actively seeking some passionate community leaders who will take the association on a new path while also filling the needs of the immediate Washington Park neighborhood and the mission of the WPA. We know the work can be easier with a dedicated board working together for a better park. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering, joining the executive board, or our board of trustees, please contact us at [email protected].
Elections will be the first Monday in December 2021.
Once elected the new leadership will spend December through March planning the 2022 programs that support the WPA mission. Remember, it takes a community of volunteers to create the community you want to live in. Join Us!
